Collaborative Installations

Often as the building and development of an installation evolves, it needs another element. Sometimes that happens as the idea is formed and sometimes it is added during the design.

For instance, after the installation aria was completed at the VCCA residency, it drew a local dance troupe to perform within the hanging pieces.  Soon after, an acapella group sang and moved inside it. Also a group of poets performed readings within the piece.

With the installation, Flux -water and sound, the musicians became part of the piece as it developed. 

However, Soheila Ghaussy's collaboration, Cartographies of Loss, was initiated by her direct relationship with women from Afghanistan and my addition of the physical, visual work became a supplement to her idea.
